Job description

Quality Inspector Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities:

Supervisor to the team of Inspectors whom perform a variety of moderately complex and detailed inspections in support of Production, Manufacturing, Engineering, engineering projects, and aircraft certification. Perform diverse and difficult visual, mechanical, and functional inspection duties on detail parts, sub-assemblies, installations and aircraft including but not limited to system checks, testing calibration, verification, measuring, and documentation of mechanical and cosmetic acceptance or rejection of components/systems.
  • Leading and mentoring the other Quality Inspectors on matters involving their respective programs.
  • Supporting Management Level meetings in support of the Quality Inspectors, when requested.
  • Leading efforts involving the generation and collection of Quality metrics and other related data for the organization and providing any necessary training.
  • Being a proactive leader and a mentor to the Quality Inspectors organization.
  • Proficient in the use of Quality professional advanced tools.
  • Will communicate verbally and in writing within and external to his/her department.
  • Will use self-motivation skills to remain organized, communicate effectively and handle several tasks at one time, be multi tasked, good time manager while working with minimal to no supervision in the completion and execution of assignments.

Profile and other information related to the position

Qualifications:
  • The successful Candidate will typically have a BA/BS and 6 years of related experience.
  • Proficient with various software programs (MS Outlook, MS Power Point, Excel, MS Project, MS Word, Quality Reporting and Shop floor Data Management System databases
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of Aerospace products, primarily aero structures consisting of Tier I and Tier II assemblies and details.
