As the Account Manager in Audiocategory, you will be responsible for working with the Senior Sales manager with support in designing and leading the overall account strategy.
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic support to the channels with focus on developing the execution of a harmonious, effective "go-to-market" strategy focused on growing Sony brand presence in an omni-channel environment
Provide expert guidance to Sony management on business opportunities, supported with concise analysis and well-rounded evaluations /recommendations
Provide exceptional administrative organization to ensure the business runs accurately and meets all deadlines
Formulate an unapparelled strength of partnership with the Senior Sales Manager to be a true internal account expert and lynchpin between cross functional teams; collaborating with business management, business planning and finance, channel marketing, sell out, and CPFR teams to achieve financial and sustainable profit growth drivers
Develop industry knowledge that fosters trusted relationships both internally and externally coupled with the acute ability to find logical win : win outcomes through data driven negotiations
Deliver strong ROI for financial investments that deliver improved profitability and build brand strength within assigned accounts
Building and optimizing direct relationships with the account buying office with a specific focus on category analysts covering buying, planning, e-commerce and marketing, with a goal of meeting customer expectations and driving profitability for Sony as influenced by overall company goals.
Share P&L accountability with the category Business Managers and be involved in influencing and executing company strategies and objectives
Collaborate closely with the sell-thru team to gain insight and provide key information to maximize sales and market share gains in key segments
Manage and communicate with clarity to stakeholders for all elements of key business processes from inventory management, MDF investment management to all forms of pricing, sales and profit administration
Structured, daily tasks with precise attention to detail is vital to support the accuracy and improvement of the P&L
Proactive fact finding to initiate new business opportunities and implement cost saving strategies will be expected
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS degree & must have 2-3 years of relatedexperience. In lieu of degree must have 4-6 years of related experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, in particular strong Microsoft Exceland PowerPoint skills arenecessary
Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a highly matrixed environment
Strong knowledge and experience with Consumer Sales HQ functions, infrastructure and sales processes preferred
Ability to presentcomplex data and business recommendations both internally and externally at management level
Crucial - Excellent business planning and organizational skills
Ability to travel as the job requires, approximately 25%
Preferred Qualifications:
Clear understanding of the local market insights, current market conditions, and key indicators for future trends
Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, retail channel and competitors
Administrative lead for sales analysis, MDF, budget management, forecasting and inventorymanagement support
Excellent interpersonal skills and trusted relationship building characteristics
Strong analytical skills with clear focus and attention to detail
Assertive negotiator with excellent presentation and communication skills
Extensive knowledge of consumer electronic products, including Sony product line
Experience with consumer electronic markets and sales channels
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for a bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave after three months of employment, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave after six months of employment.
