At Danaher Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Account Manager - Outside Sales to join our team in the San Diego region. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing customer accounts, ensuring advanced service and technical support to customers through on-site consultative visits.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a Life Sciences field and previous experience in sales, customer-facing roles, and/or HPLC lab experience. Strong analytical thinking and presentation skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities will include conducting on-site customer visits to provide technical information on chromatography-related products and services, ensuring the assigned territory meets sales, gross profit, and unit goals, and developing relationships with new and existing customers.

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits, including paid time off and 401(k), to eligible employees. The base salary range for this role is $90,000-120,000, and total compensation also includes a Sales Incentive Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site customer visits to provide technical information on chromatography-related products and services
  • Ensure the assigned territory meets sales, gross profit, and unit goals
  • Develop relationships with new and existing customers
  • Develop business plans, market analysis, and sales strategies for assigned territory
  • Maintain information in the customer database system

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Life Sciences field
  • Previous experience in sales, customer-facing roles, and/or HPLC lab experience
  • Strong analytical thinking and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 75% travel, with 90% local travel in the San Diego region and 10% overnight travel for attending industry events
