Job Overview:

We're seeking a compassionate and proactive Residential Stability Advocate to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting individuals and families facing housing challenges. Your primary focus will be on offering support and solutions to prevent homelessness and ensure long-term housing stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with individuals and families to assess their housing needs and provide appropriate support.
  • Develop and implement personalized housing stability plans.
  • Advocate for clients in interactions with landlords, housing authorities, and other relevant entities.
  • Facilitate access to resources such as rental assistance, legal counsel, and social services.
  • Organize and lead workshops on tenants' rights, financial literacy, and other topics related to housing stability.
  • Maintain accurate records and case notes on client interactions and progress.
  • Collaborate with community partners to enhance housing support services.

Qualifications:

  • A background in social work, human services, or a related field.
  • Experience in housing advocacy, social services, or case management.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges related to housing insecurity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and commitment to advocating for vulnerable populations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
