Farnsworth Group is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor or Land Surveyor in Training in our St. Louis, MO office. Qualified candidates will conduct and perform Boundary and Topographical Surveys, Construction Layouts, and Oil & Gas Surveys. This position will include a combination of office and field work if needed and may require some travel.

Specific Requirements include:

  • Licensure: Illinois Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) required. Additional state licenses desired.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Land Surveying

  • Proficiency with GPS, Robotic Total Station and Data Collectors

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation

  • Ability to use Trimble Business Office to process files and work establishing or converting coordinate control

  • Ability to organize and review field notes

  • Ability to read Construction Plans and Right-of-Way Plans

  • Experience performing Boundary Research

  • Ability to coordinate and direct field crews

  • Strong math skills

  • Valid driver’s license
