Position Overview:
We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Land Surveyor to enhance our dynamic engineering team. This role encompasses a variety of projects, including commercial and educational developments, requiring a solid grasp of land surveying methodologies and standards. The successful candidate will be tasked with executing thorough surveys, generating precise reports, and collaborating with a team of proficient engineers. This position provides a platform to contribute to significant projects while honing professional skills in a supportive and innovative setting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute comprehensive land surveys utilizing advanced equipment such as Trimble, GPS, and robotic total stations.
2. Develop and uphold sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to accurately represent and certify work performed.
3. Employ software tools like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Trimble Business Center (TBC) to create detailed plans and drawings for various projects.
4. Conduct ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys in alignment with industry standards set by the American Land Title Association and National Society of Professional Surveyors.
5. Collaborate with civil engineers and architects to ensure compliance with all specifications and regulations.
6. Oversee project timelines and deliverables, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion of all tasks.
7. Validate the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations taken at various sites.
8. Stay informed about the latest trends, tools, and practices in land surveying and civil engineering.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying, with a focus on commercial projects.
3. Possession of a valid Land Surveyor's license in the relevant states.
4. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center (TBC), and other pertinent software.
5. Familiarity with ALTA Surveys and a strong understanding of civil engineering principles.
6. Exceptional technical and mathematical abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail.
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills, capable of collaborating effectively with a diverse group.
8. Proficient in the use of Trimble GPS and robotic total stations.
9. Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
10. Commitment to maintaining high safety standards and a clean work environment.
11. Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
12. Proven ability to manage projects and ensure deliverables are met within established timelines and budgets.
