Position Description
Capital Bank is currently seeking an experienced C&I Relationship Manager to join our team. This position will mainly focus efforts in the DC Metro market area. This role will actively seek out new customer opportunities by developing relationships with prospective customers and exploring their banking needs. This position is also responsible for maintaining and servicing assigned portfolios and cross selling other Bank products as needed. The C&I Relationship Manager will maintain close customer contact to ensure continued satisfaction and to anticipate additional financing options.
Position Responsibilities
- Providefinancial consultation to current and prospective customers to help them reach their goals in order to maintain a long-term banking relationship.
- Approvesound loans reflecting attention to analysis, loan structure, and pricing relative to the risk and value of the borrower within lending authority and bank loan policy.
- Preparequality loan presentations for credit recommendations to appropriate loan authorities as needed.
- Negotiatecomplex pricing, loan structure, and loan agreement issues on large borrowers.
- Monitorexisting assigned loans to ensure complete compliance with loan terms, proper loan ratings, timely past due management, and problem loan detection.
- Callon potential or existing customers to develop new business and increase or retain existing business.
- Maintainan extensive knowledge of loan policy and procedures, commercial deposit accounts, cash management, ACH policies, letters of credit, credit cards and other bank products.
- Adhere to regulatory compliance matters that directly affect lending processes and be committed to comply with those requirements at all times.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field of study, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 5years of experience in commercial lending.
- Credit Lending experience a requirement.
- Ability to provide short-term sales results.
- Knowledge of lending and banking policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Proven sales and business development experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbaland written communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers.
Travel
Must have the ability to travel within thedefined market area.
