Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Event Planning and Coordination:
a. Develop and manage event plans, including timelines, budgets, and logistical arrangements.
b. Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure all event requirements are met.

2. Vendor Management:
a. Identify, negotiate with, and manage relationships with vendors, including venues, caterers, decorators, and audiovisual teams.
b. Ensure contracts are adhered to and handle any issues that arise.

3. On-Site Management:
a. Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all aspects run smoothly.
b. Manage on-site staff, volunteers, and contractors to ensure tasks are completed as planned.

4. Marketing and Promotion:
a. Assist in developing marketing materials and strategies to promote events.
b. Use social media, email marketing, and other channels to drive attendance and engagement.

5. Post-Event Activities:
a. Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of the event and gather feedback for improvement.
b. Prepare detailed reports and documentation for future reference.

6. Customer Service:
a. Provide exceptional service to clients, attendees, and partners, addressing any issues orconcerns promptly and professionally.

Required Experience: At least 1 year working in student affairs, hospitality management, tourism, retail, community and/or public service.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience with digital event platforms and virtual event coordination.
Knowledge of current trends and best practices in event management.

Required Licenses or Certifications: Valid driver's license and criminal background clearance.

Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.

Preferred Experience: 3 years' experience working with diverse populations with a college, public agency, or similar.
