Description

Basic Functions

Under general supervision, the employee will monitor daily production quality, perform product inspection and testing, document inspection and test results, and handle material handling responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure first part approval at initial startup (product meets specification prior to packing), and after machine downtime.
  • Collect and analyze samples of finished products per documented procedures and work instructions.
  • Ensure all proper quality documentation and control samples are available at machine throughout production run.
  • Ensure finished product continuously meets or exceeds documented product specifications. Identify and quarantine nonconforming product.
  • Retain samples of defective product for QA Supervisor.
  • Monitor production quality per lot testing work instructions.
  • Audit quality of product in stock as needed and assist in rework.
  • Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, food safety and housekeeping.
  • Perform all material handler responsibilities within the department.
Other
  • Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, quality, product safety and legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable.


Requirements

OTHER:

Attention to detail and quality. Intermediate skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and with navigating through folders/files in Windows Explorer. Intermediate knowledge of spreadsheets and databases.

Automation experience preferred.

Forklift experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Good communication skills required to read, write, and speak English. Bilingual- Spanish is a plus.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic mathematics (i.e. counting), basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Must be able to read a ruler in inches/mm.
