Position Summary

The ideal Quality Assurance Inspector will demonstrate exceptional reliability, initiative, and outstanding customer service abilities. This role demands a dedicated individual who can consistently maintain punctuality and possesses in-depth knowledge of building regulations and compliance standards. Relevant experience in inspecting residential rental properties and understanding building systems is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Frequent travel to various building sites.
  • Conduct in-unit evaluations biannually.
  • Perform comprehensive building assessments quarterly, from the basement to the roof.
  • Execute thorough inspections and communicate findings promptly through detailed reports.
  • Document findings and capture images using designated software applications.
  • Inspect subsidized units to ensure compliance with municipal codes, HUD, and CMHA regulations.
  • Possess certifications in property maintenance, residential construction, and mechanical systems.
  • Oversee the repair and upkeep of HVAC systems.
  • Evaluate construction projects to verify proper installation of walls, fixtures, and HVAC systems.
  • Conduct habitability assessments in accordance with HUD standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with building compliance and inspection processes is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive work ethic.
  • Must exhibit a positive, courteous, and tactful demeanor.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic team environment.
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Experience in a fast-paced work setting is advantageous.
  • Bi-lingual capabilities (English-Spanish) are a plus.
  • A valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required.
