Job description:
Level II: 2-5 years.
  • Under direct supervision, performs a variety of routine laboratory tests, experimental batch preparation and scale up.
  • Job responsibilities include operating destructive testing equipment, handling chemicals, maintaining experimental records, maintaining a clean and hazard-free workspace, following experimental procedures, effectively communicating experimental results, and any other tasks as required to meet commercial development objectives.

Requirements:
  • Necessary skills include laboratory experience, safe chemical handling, and maintaining experiment notes.
  • Experience with compounding materials and use of test equipment such as viscometers and force testing equipment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint also a plus.
  • The candidate must be able to lift 30 pounds, be able and willing to handle hazardous chemicals, be able to operate chemical equipment, be able to wear personal protective equipment including safety glasses, lab coat, and safety shoes, and able to safely work in a laboratory environment.
Associate's degree in a scientific field with 2+ years of experience, or a high school diploma with 3+ years of experience, is strongly preferred.

Shift:
Monday-Friday typically 8:00am-4:30pm with a lunch break and some flexibility earlier or later. No mandatory OT.
