Network Technician

  • Assist and organize with tissues via phone, email, and text, as well as provide resolution to all issues, as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot end-user desktop issues related to networking and phone issues.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues create documentation for resolutions
  • Configure and troubleshoot network connections for desktops, network equipment, and VOIP telephones.
  • Have a basic understanding of WiFi networks and related wireless devices
  • Have a basic understanding of network wiring.
  • Assist with the creation of network infrastructure (pull needed wiring and cables, install cabinets and enclosures, terminate fiber, terminate CAT5/CAT6 cabling)
  • Install basic network equipment (switches, routers, wireless equipment) not including configuration of software.
  • Keep track of inventory and submit orders for restock
  • Be able to work nights and weekends. Be on-call as needed.
  • Be able to walk or stand for long periods of time
  • Be able to obtain a Class D Commercial Drivers license
  • Be comfortable operating machinery

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in a computer related field or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience
  • Must have a reliable method of transportation and the ability to travel as necessary
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and typing)
  • Comfortable with use of hand tools (Drills, Screwdrivers, etc)
  • Task Oriented with ability to complete projects with little to no supervision.
  • Ability to work in all types of environmental conditions (hot/cold, indoor/outdoor)
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to identify needed action without continual direction.
  • Must model the highest degree of moral and ethical behavior
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to maintain an excellent working relationship with co-workers.
  • Avid interest in technology and expanding knowledge base to stay on top of industry technology trends.
  • Ability to explain and document procedures verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Dependable, punctual, and solutions oriented and flexibility in the work schedule is required.
