The Manager, Business Development is responsible for coaching and driving best practices on the Business Development team. This role will be working with new hires and early career Business Development Representatives on cold calling, prospecting emails, and territory development activities.

The primary focus will be to monitor team performance, implement appropriate training and accelerate overall pipeline growth. The BDR team will be responsible for generating new opportunities for the Enterprise and Corporate Sales teams. This position will work closely with the sales and marketing departments.

What You'll Do:
  • Set the business development priorities and key selling strategies to achieve sales objectives
  • Define processes and procedures for the growing team of BDRs
  • Lead the daily activities and quota performance management of individual BDRs
  • Recruit, train and develop entry level and early career employees laying the framework for a successful long-term career in sales including providing regular feedback, performance appraisals, merit increase recommendations and individual development plans.
  • Encourage and motivate employees daily and bring innovation to the sales process to accelerate our market growth trajectory
  • Oversee the generation of new business opportunities through the BDR outbound cold calling campaigns
  • Contact and qualify in-bound leads, complete needs assessment and scheduling Demo's for sales consultants
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Develop strong social selling strategies and training for new and existing BDRs
  • Minimal Travel expected
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required
  • Knowledge of service-based business models
  • Experience leading a team and consistently meeting goals
  • An enthusiastic team player who's comfortable working with all department leaders
  • Demonstrated track record of effectively hiring and motivating team members
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, startup environment
Where You'll Work:

We are excited to open a new office in Plano, TX in the Summer of 2024 alongside our partner company FieldRoutes. Plano-based employees will be fully remote until our new office opens and then will move to a hybrid work model with 4 days in the office and 1 day remote each week.
