No prior experience is necessary; we provide comprehensive training and support, equipping you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster strong relationships between individuals and their community, encouraging social interaction and engagement.
  • Implement Person-Centered Plans, tailoring support to meet individual needs and preferences, while promoting choice and control.
  • Assist with daily living skills, personal care, and independence development, helping individuals achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Monitor health and medical needs, reporting concerns promptly to ensure seamless care delivery, while prioritizing individual well-being.
  • Support skill development for independent and community-based living, providing personalized guidance and coaching, while promoting confidence and self-efficacy.
  • Participate in community activities, outings, and events, enhancing individual experiences and memories, while promoting social connections and relationships.
  • Provide transportation to medical appointments and community activities, ensuring safe and comfortable travel, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Maintain accurate and timely program documentation and records, adhering to organizational standards, while promoting transparency and accountability.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education, demonstrating basic knowledge and skills, while showing potential for growth and development.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record, ensuring safe transportation and minimizing risk.
  • Experience working in behavioral homes or similar settings, applying learned skills and strategies, while adapting to new challenges and environments.
  • Able to establish supportive relationships with individuals receiving supports, building trust and rapport, while promoting empathy and understanding.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in challenging situations, prioritizing individual well-being and safety.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective collaboration and communication, while promoting clear and concise messaging.
  • Effective time management skills, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance and minimizing stress.
  • Previous OPWDD experience is preferred but not required, highlighting adaptability and transferable skills, while demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow.
Work Environment and Benefits
