Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Community Options. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to individuals with disabilities in a community setting.

About the Team
Our team is dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling lives in their communities. We work closely with individuals, significant others, and health team members to deliver high-quality care in a community setting. Your primary responsibilities will include providing treatment and health care procedures ordered by a physician, ensuring individuals attend medical appointments, advising supervisors on concerns and issues related to nursing services, and creating and distributing medical/health reports.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing services to individuals with disabilities, including administering medications, monitoring health conditions, and referring for medical services as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community members, businesses, and families to build support networks for individuals.
  • Participate in circles of support for personal futures planning and participate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activities.
  • Follow strict OSHA procedures regarding blood-borne pathogens and cooperate with inspections, inquiries, or investigations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum one year of experience providing nursing services to individuals with disabilities.
  • Valid R.N. license and valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to calculate figures related to medication dosages and understanding commitment to community-based support for persons with disabilities.
