Description

The Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, installing, and troubleshooting control systems for industrial automation applications, including PLCs, HMIs, robots, and drives. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary project team to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to customers’ satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Must have industrial control experience and knowledge of the following:
    • PLC programming (Allen Bradley required, Siemens, Omron, others advantageous)
    • Robotics programming (UR and Fanuc advantageous)
    • Control system design including electrical components specification
    • Machine and motion control
    • HMI design
    • IIoT and networking
    • Machine safety
  • Collaborate with sales, engineers, project managers, and production team to ensure project success
  • Must be flexible as well as willing and able to maintain multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred. Associate’s degree and equivalent experience required
  • Ability to adapt quickly and maintain a positive attitude
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, typically via automobile but occasional plane travel may be required
