Position Overview

The Automation Control Specialist will play a key role in the design, development, installation, and troubleshooting of control systems for industrial automation applications. This includes working with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and drive systems. As part of a multidisciplinary project team, you will ensure that projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in industrial control systems with expertise in:
    • PLC programming (Allen Bradley is essential; knowledge of Siemens, Omron, and others is a plus)
    • Robotics programming (experience with UR and Fanuc is advantageous)
    • Designing control systems, including specifying electrical components
    • Machine and motion control systems
    • HMI design and implementation
    • IIoT and networking capabilities
    • Machine safety protocols
  • Collaborate effectively with sales teams, engineers, project managers, and production staff to ensure project success.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred; an Associate's degree with relevant experience is acceptable.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and maintain a positive outlook.
  • Proficient in identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, primarily by automobile, with occasional air travel.
