We are seeking a highly skilled Metrology Engineering Specialist with experience in the automotive industry, metal mechanical, laser machines, and welding. The ideal candidate will have expertise in dimensional metrology using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Faro arms, and High gages.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement metrology techniques and procedures for dimensional inspection.
- Perform detailed measurements and analysis of components using CMM, Faro arms, and High gages.
- Conduct First Article Inspections and approve Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any metrology-related issues in a timely manner.
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in metrology technology.
- Perform metrology maintenance control for all measurement devices.
- Non-contact Measurement Systems: Utilizing technologies such as laser scanning, optical imaging, and radar, these systems can capture detailed measurements of surfaces and objects without physical contact, enabling rapid and precise data acquisition.
- 3D Scanning and Imaging: Advanced imaging techniques, such as 3D scanning and photogrammetry, enable the creation of detailed three-dimensional models of objects and environments for measurement and analysis.
- Data Analysis and Visualization Software: Advanced software tools allow for the processing, analysis, and visualization of measurement data, enabling researchers and engineers to extract valuable insights and make informed decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in metrology engineering, preferably in the automotive industry
- Proficiency in using CMM, Faro arms, and High gages for dimensional inspection.
- Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, and First Article Inspection processes
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
