PSCE Material Flow Leader Job Summary: PSCE is responsible for the preparation and implementation of In Plant Supply Chain processes related to the introduction of new products and processes for VCCH as well as the maintenance and improvement of these implemented processes in line with VCMS standards. The PSCE Flow Leader will lead and support the introduction of new processes and the roll-out of Lean Materials within his or her given area. This role will require interface and collaboration with various other stakeholders and customers within VCCH. Responsibilities: Takes full ownership of logistics flows and processes within the given area while defining the best flow solutions based on “Line Back Principles.” Leads a team that consists of engineers and analysts to plan and execute all material flow processes for current and new car programs. Perform all time and payroll admin for each team member along with quarterly and yearly performance reviews. Responsible for creating detailed plans, generally spanning several months, that support the execution of tasks to achieve the Plan Supply Chain vision and strategy for the given area. Provide clear direction, guidance, and prioritization to the team to achieve all items listed on the masterplan and yearly KPIs. Responsible for creating and validating wholistic plans for manning, equipment and other defined KPI’s. Responsible for defining the optimal manning balance, introducing logistics equipment and creating proper documentation for all new processes and flows. Helps develop training programs for both internal and external stakeholders. Defines the business requirements related to the IT systems applied within the in-plant logistics process and leads implementation of such systems and processes. Support department cost reduction and business plan initiatives including development of total cost business cases, action plans and launch of new equipment and/or processes. Responsible for maintaining budgets, developing technical specifications, and submitting shopping Carts. Oversee that all relevant parameters in the logistics systems have been updated. Ensures material flow and material layouts are optimized and support lean strategy. Leads team in problem solving analysis and process optimization projects connected to in-plant logistics. Investigates process consequences in view of production speed or production volume related changes. Supports the plant in reaching Hours per Vehicle (HPV) targets on running and new models according to decided targets. Leads team to perform M3MU kaizen studies to drive process improvements and changes. Deploys VCMS (Volvo Cars Manufacturing System) principles within all in-plant logistics processes. Maintain and optimize the in-plant logistics processes in terms of QDFIPS (Quality, Safety, Financials, Improvement, People, Safety and Sustainability). Job Requirements: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering, logistics engineering, supply chain/ logistics management or relevant education, or equal qualifications. A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably within material flow engineering and or leadership roles. Proficient in MS Office and database applications. Highly skilled in excel and data analysis. Proficient in AutoCAD. Able to create optimal layouts for the in-plant logistics flow.
