Position Overview:


The PSCE (Plant Supply Chain Engineering) is tasked with developing and executing in-plant supply chain methodologies associated with the launch of new products and processes. This role also involves the ongoing enhancement of these methodologies in accordance with VCMS (Volvo Cars Manufacturing System) standards.

The Flow Leader will spearhead the implementation of new methodologies and the adoption of Lean Material practices within their designated area.

This position necessitates collaboration with various stakeholders and clients within the organization.


Key Responsibilities:


- Assume complete responsibility for logistics processes and workflows in the assigned area, establishing optimal flow solutions based on established principles.

- Lead a team of engineers and analysts to strategize and execute all material flow operations for both existing and upcoming vehicle programs.

- Manage all time and payroll administration for team members, including conducting quarterly and annual performance evaluations.

- Develop comprehensive plans that span several months, aligning with the overarching supply chain vision and strategy for the designated area.

- Provide clear direction and prioritization to the team to ensure the achievement of all objectives outlined in the master plan and annual KPIs.

- Create and validate holistic plans concerning staffing, equipment, and other defined KPIs.

- Define optimal staffing levels, introduce necessary logistics equipment, and generate proper documentation for all new processes and workflows.

- Assist in the development of training programs for both internal and external stakeholders.

- Identify business requirements related to IT systems utilized in in-plant logistics and lead the implementation of these systems and processes.

- Support initiatives aimed at reducing departmental costs and enhancing business plans, including the development of comprehensive cost business cases and action plans.

- Maintain budgets, create technical specifications, and manage procurement processes.

- Ensure that all relevant parameters in the logistics systems are current and accurate.

- Optimize material flow and layouts to align with lean strategies.

- Guide the team in problem-solving analyses and process optimization projects related to in-plant logistics.

- Assess process implications concerning production speed or volume changes.

- Assist the plant in achieving Hours per Vehicle (HPV) targets for both existing and new models.

- Lead the team in conducting M3MU kaizen studies to drive process enhancements.

- Implement VCMS principles across all in-plant logistics processes.

- Maintain and refine in-plant logistics processes with respect to QDFIPS (Quality, Safety, Financials, Improvement, People, Safety, and Sustainability).


Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in industrial engineering, logistics engineering, supply chain management, or a related field, or equivalent qualifications.

- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, ideally in material flow engineering or leadership roles.

- Proficient in MS Office and database applications, with advanced skills in Excel and data analysis.

- Experienced in AutoCAD, capable of designing optimal layouts for in-plant logistics.
