Group/Division Summary:

The Proposals Specialist is a solution provider to Cell and Gene Therapy customers through our Advanced Therapies Services (ATx) including mRNA, Cell Therapies (CTx) and Viral Vector Services (VVS).

Location: We currently have a single remote position available, which can be located anywhere within the upper 48 United States. This position has been posted in multiple locations.

How will you make an impact?

This position will have the opportunity to support our clients as they work to cure genetic, rare, and otherwise untreatable diseases through our leading and innovative Cell, Gene Therapy and Advanced Modalities businesses.

Position Summary:

The main objective of this position is to generate compelling proposals that are in line with the company's global commercial strategy. By leveraging proposal templates, the emphasis is placed on crafting documents that successfully showcase the organization's services, products, and expertise as the preferred option for project awards. This process is conducted with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring both accuracy and consistency throughout the proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a thorough review of Request for Proposal (RFP) information to ensure that all necessary details have been obtained in order to effectively support project costing. This includes collaborating with operational and sales teams to gather the required support and information.

  • Generate Proposals, Work Statements, and Change of Scopes for new and current client programs, supporting clients globally. Ensure accuracy of these documents, including resource estimates, scope, pricing, and future revisions.

  • Collaborate with Proposal Specialists across various Business Units on a global scale to establish and execute a comprehensive proposal strategy for coordinated offering opportunities.

  • Participate in client discussions to support proposal review.

  • Ability to function optimally in a matrixed organization across various time zones and countries.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with an attention to detail.

  • Supports process improvement initiatives.

  • Availability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific subject area or equivalent experience a must.

Experience

  • 4+ years of industry experience, with strong preference for technical experience in mRNA. Additional experience in sterile drug product manufacturing is a plus.

  • 2+ years of technical writing or proposal writing experience.

  • Proficiency in English with ability to generate technically and grammatically sound contract language required.

  • Previous contract manufacturing organization experience preferred with familiarity in Good Manufacturing Practices.

  • Previous experience with services budgeting and forecasting.

  • Proficient in MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word as well as Salesforce.com and
