Position Introduction

Distributed Solar Development, LLC (DSD) is seeking an analytical and innovative leader to join our Business Operations team. The team serves as the strategic hub for data-driven decision-making and operational excellence at DSD. Aligned with our mission, the team focuses on creating customer value, fostering transparency, and expediting renewable energy deployment through operational efficiency.

As DSD grows and expands our pipeline, optimizing scalability has become crucial and we firmly endorse the transformative role of data and analytics to address operational challenges. Therefore, we seek a data-driven leader with robust operational management skills and strong business acumen to bring innovation and positive disruption to our organization. This pivotal role is integral to steer DSD towards a future defined by operational efficiency and sustainable growth and will collaborate closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and his staff members to architect and optimize operational standards, leverage data-driven insights to overcome challenges, and spearhead scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and improve a dynamic Business Process Map to visualize our business workflow and how each deliverable contributes to the optimization of customer value.
  • Partner with the Operations Analysis Manager to harness digital systems for tracking and monitoring workflow, utilizing data-driven insights to identify and mitigate bottlenecks effectively.
  • Analyze and enhance existing processes to boost velocity, foster accountability, streamline decision-making, and sustain value across the project lifecycle by minimizing waste and prioritizing customer value creation.
  • Measure and monitor Sales pipeline and make data-driven recommendations to increase pipeline generation, boost win rate, and direct origination efforts towards high-value markets.
  • Identify, prioritize, and address pain points across the business, developing and implementing comprehensive solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead and train a team of operations analysts and harness their individual talents to address operational challenges and drive efficient resolutions.
  • Develop Change Management frameworks to help the business navigate effectively through changes around assumptions, standards, and processes.

  • Proficient in Lean Manufacturing methodologies with a proven track record and passion of implementing these frameworks in growing companies.

Required Qualifications
  • Professional experience in business operations or business consulting.

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or PMP Certified or equivalent Lean certification.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
  • Experienced in lean manufacturing, six sigma, project management, and/or change management.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and PMP Certified.
  • Had exposure to the renewable energy industry.


San Francisco Bay area preferred. Remote options considered.
