Reporting directly to the Sales Talent Development & Key Accounts Manager, the Account Manager is responsible for developing new customer relationships and managing oleochemical sales and services of PCNA business products.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • B.A. or B.S degree in a Business-related discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Kind & Length of Experience:
  • At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a marketing or sales position.
  • Must reside in the northeast region of the United States; New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maine etc.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS
  • Identify, develop, and grow sales within assigned sales territory.
  • Use CRM, sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services. As well as analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends;
  • Coordinate or participate in promotional activities or trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, or production managers, to market products or services;
  • Consult with Business Managers to gain advice regarding the types of products or services expected to be in demand.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies or marketing information;
  • Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services.
  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, or credit terms.
  • Quote prices, credit terms, or other bid specifications.
  • Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.
  • Negotiate prices or terms of sales or service agreements.
  • Diligently maintain accurate and current customer records, using automated systems, including but not limited to CRM system;
  • Identify prospective customers/markets by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
  • Prepare sales contracts for orders obtained and submit orders for processing.
  • Select the correct products or assist customers in making product selections, based on customers' needs, product specifications, and applicable regulations.
  • In your absence you are responsible to ensure that the tasks assigned to the absentee is adequately covered by them or trained personnel
  • Share customer information/product risk information, including:
    • SDSs
    • Brochures;
    • Specifications;
    • Appropriate end uses and safety hazards; and
    • Other requests as appropriate;
  • Where relevant, enforce blocks on products until customer is "qualified" by determination of appropriate use or ability to safely handle Peter Cremer NA's product(s);
  • Initiate management of change (MOC) for new products; and;
    • Adhere to all Environmental, Health, Safety, Security Requirements covered under Local State and Federal Regulations;
    • Follow all RC14001 guiding principles, policies, procedures and other requirements;
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Travel 30-40%
