Summary:

The Agent Support/Intake Specialist answers inquiries and provides information to new and existing clients, visitors and other interested parties. This role is the first to greet visitors and the first to assist, initially representing the company and our brand. They also support the day-to-day operations of the individual insurance center and facilitate many administrative functions for the entire organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain client information for communication with clients and/or tasks for the agency
  • Greet people entering the building, determine the nature and purpose of their visit and direct them to a specific destination
  • Listen to and resolve inquiries or complaints from customers or the public
  • Update and maintain electronic records in data systems and on the server
  • Help grow the business by getting referrals and delivering proper information to respective parties

Duties/activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Answer, screen and/or forward calls while providing information, taking messages and/or scheduling appointments
  • Gather basic information from clients and provide general information such as simple coverage details, timelines and what to bring to appointments
  • Email communication and responses to inquiries back to clients
  • Provide information for services we don't provide to point clients in an alternative direction
  • Prepare facilities and supplies for educational seminars
  • Maintain and order office supplies for the entire company
  • Other duties as assigned by Simco

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, EZLynx or similar CRMs required
  • Must possess a friendly and welcoming demeanor with a calm, cooperative attitude
  • Should be organized and be able to maintain accurate information in agency systems
  • Be an effective communicator to keep team updated and prepared for their appointments
  • Must follow processes we have in place and suggest efficiencies
  • Be able to work with confidential, time-sensitive information
  • This is a fulltime, hourly (8am-5pm M-F/schedule flexibility), non-exempt position with a pay range of $19-$24/hour
