The Data Analyst Opportunity

Reporting to Sr. Manager, Data Enablement, this role will dive deep into our product telemetry, web analytics, and other related data sets to unlock insights. Using the lens of the customer, find patterns, anomalies, and trends

An average week will find you digging into a brand-new data set, profiling data, validating feature launch metrics, suggesting new measurement opportunities, or presenting your results to leaders across product, engineering, or design.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze clickstream datasets to uncover customer journeys and paths
  • Combine clickstream data with product telemetry to find gaps and overlaps
  • Develop reusable data models in Snowflake, Tableau, or both to allow for ongoing analysis
  • Educate and enlighten data stakeholders with newly available objects and models that will unlock product and business insights
  • Deliver executive dashboards and product insights based on foundational productionalized data models
  • Partner with other Business Data Analysts to create composite measures and insights that span the product unit
  • Ensure that data privacy and governance is a first priority at all stages of the data lifecycle

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in data management, data engineering, data analytics, product management, or a similar background
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, etc)
  • 2+ years of SQL experience
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on profiling datasets for completeness, structure, and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate findings to a wide range of audiences both technical and non-technical alike

And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following

  • Third-party web analytics tools (Heap, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.)
  • Cloud-based data warehouse technologies (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, etc.)
  • Data engineering (Python, dbt, Kafka, Parquet, Fivetran, Hightouch, etc.)
  • Paywall, subscription or authentication-based products
