The Role:

A part of the role of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development Liaison (SPBDL), you will become a subject matter expert in Customer Service Delivery, Sales, TLC’s Network, Business Branding and Marketing, and Operations of our sister company, Guardian School Security Systems. As a Strategic Partner, you will liaison with others within TMPI/GSSS to develop sales and marketing plans and be a joint force with our Minnesota Strategic Team. Daily responsibilities will vary but can include Committee Planning, Project Management, Reporting, working with various Vendors, Contractors, Local/State/Federal Government, and other entities, establish Processes, Customer Relation Strategy, Product Delivery, and Community/Public Partnerships.

Role Responsibilities:

Partnership Development: Identify, establish, and nurture strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders, organizations, and key players. Partner with cross-functional teams to align business objectives and create mutually beneficial partnerships.

Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiation efforts, ensuring favorable terms, compliance, and risk management. Collaborate closely with legal teams to ensure contract accuracy and adherence to company policies.

Project Coordination: Oversee the execution of collaborative projects resulting from strategic partnerships. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet predetermined objectives.

Business Growth: Contribute to business growth by identifying new opportunities, market trends, and potential growth areas. Provide insights and recommendations to the management team for expanding the company's market presence.

Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and industry influencers. Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to facilitate communication and collaboration.

Reporting and Analysis: Monitor partnership performance and assess the effectiveness of collaborations. Provide regular reports and analysis to management, identifying areas for improvement and growth.

Professional Development: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to inform partnership strategies. Attend relevant conferences, trade shows, workshops, and networking events to enhance expertise. Additional Tasks may include working with, marketing, sales, project planning, and proposal writing.

Minimum Requirements/Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field required.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or related roles.

Minimum 2 years' experience growing and leading a team of sales professionals.

Proven record of accomplishment in tech sales, strategic partnerships, lobbying, or business development, preferably within the technology or related industry.

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to navigate complex contractual agreements.

Software Experience: PM Software/CRM Systems/Adobe or other applicable software.

Analytical mindset with the ability to assess partnership performance and provide actionable insights.

Exceptional communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to convey ideas effectively to diverse audiences.

Project management experience, with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget.

Knowledge of public relations strategies and media relations preferred.

Relationship-building skills with the capacity to establish and maintain effective partnerships.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools.

Self-motivated and proactive, capable of working independently and as part of a team.

This role requires travel (locally, nationwide, and internationally).

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or experience in strategic planning.

Experience in securing grants, funding, or investments is a plus.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs and changing market dynamics.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to learn and adapt to innovative technologies and challenges.

Able to understand and anticipate needs.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is normally performed in an environmentally controlled office/laboratory environment. This role may be subject to other conditions or hazardous environments.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be capable of performing required tasks while using wide variations of physical effort such as sitting, running, walking, standing, crawling, climbing, or remaining in awkward, sometimes strained, positions for extended periods of time; may be required to lift to 20+ lbs.
