Land Acquisition Coordinator

The Land Acquisition Coordinator will support the Land Development Department to source and contract land for the development of residential subdivisions and to acquire finished lots. This will include researching and analyzing properties, track land sales data, and collect competitive market data. Responsible for organizing and maintaining land/lot contracts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create, organize, and maintain land/lot contract files
- Assist in the permit process, schedule timelines, and adjustments
- Prepare analysis/deal sheet for each site
- Ensure that all required paperwork is completed and distributed to the necessary parties, land/lot purchase through community completion
- Provide required documents to corporate departments
- Request and track earnest money deposits and releases
- Assist the Land Department with responding to staff reports and all conditions of approval and coordinate a timely re-submittal
- Coordinate closing process with outside title and escrow agents
- Assist with all aspects of land development, land acquisitions and land/lot purchases
- Run various land reports
- Oversee Digital filing - setup and Department Compliance
- Update development project schedules
- Prepare and submit weekly Funding Requests for land acquisition contracts, prepare and submit weekly Regional Land Tracker, and assist with submitting Coding Sheets to request funds at the time of closing
- Assist with Land permit processing, track permit status, and work with Land Department to update Department Deal Flow/Tracker
- Responsible for vendor contract administration, providing new contract packages to prospective vendors, and assisting them with questions about the contract, insurance requirements, etc.
- Assist and coordinate with new projects market studies
- Coordinate HOA set up and governing documents
- Assist with oversight of HOA maintenance by serving on all HOA boards and scheduling and attending all HOA meetings
- Assist with oversight of HOA transitions by scheduling all transition walks, getting the deeds prepared and signed for all common areas, and getting all plans and documents and turn them over to the HOA
- Two (2)years of experience in homebuilding, land development, real estate, lender, or contract administration
- Familiarity with land acquisition, land development, real estate, and/or GIS research; or completion of coursework in a relatable degree program
- Strong Oral/Written Communication Skills, proofreading skills; strong telephone skills
- Excellent Interpersonal and Customer Service skills
- Self-directed; takes initiative, proactively addresses problems, can work with minimal oversight, high attention to detail
- Certified Notary Public a plus
