GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Under supervision, the purpose of the position is to supervise and provide support and leadership to the Information Technology staff. To research and resolve difficult and complex business problems using data-driven insights that other staff have been unable to solve. Provide analytical, software, and system support as needed. Work requires specialized knowledge of the data applications functions, to include business intelligence tools, data warehousing, and analytics platforms, as well as systems utilized at the company. Employees in this classification respond to directives of the President and Chief Executive Officer, manage all areas required to provide optimal analytical support to the company’s end users. This individual also plans for data architecture modifications/upgrades and coordinates analytical support activities. Performs related work as directed.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage, develop, coach, mentor and train staff as needed in support of maintaining the overall network and supporting the end users.
  • Lead and manage the business and data analytics team and Information Technology team, ensuring high levels of productivity and efficiency.
  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive data analytics frameworks and business intelligence solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior management to define business requirements and analytics objectives.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Manage IT Projects as needed.
  • Present complex data in understandable and actionable formats to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making processes across the organization.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability within company databases and reporting.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of business strategies.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in technology and analytics tools.
  • Manage projects, budgets, and timelines for analytics initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively in person with HR, Finance, and other departments to analyze trends, and client traffic patterns to determine the best course of action for the development of new programs and initiatives using analytics from various ERP systems as the basis.
  • Manage, develop, coach, mentor, and train staff in person as needed in support of maintaining the overall network and supporting the end users.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedure as well as long range technical strategy.
  • Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.
  • Make technical evaluations and recommendations regarding new data analytics techniques and tools.
  • Manages and develops upgrades to the organization’s data collection and analysis systems.
  • Keeps President and Chief Executive Officer well-informed of data analytics activities and recommends corrective actions as needed.
  • Manages and maintains the organization's data virtualization environment.
  • Manages the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of the organization’s data warehousing hardware/software.
  • Manages analytics network operations to include troubleshooting connectivity problems; installing & maintaining servers; adding/terminating users; assigning rights and access; resetting passwords; establishing data protocols; assessing and reporting operational status; performing data backups and restores; etc.
  • Presents and implements technological alternatives to streamline analytics functions and improve productivity.
  • Develops and maintains data management policies, standards, and procedures manual; develops and maintains related data management checklists.
  • Manages technology inventory to include procurement, disposal, and asset management of data-related resources.
  • Complete analytics projects as assigned.


MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.

Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an office environment preferably in an Information Technology or Data Analytics role.

Demonstrated Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Customer service, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel experience required.

Physical Ability:Tasks involve the ability to exert very moderate physical effort in light work, typically involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (15-20 pounds).

Sensory Requirements:Some tasks require visual perception and discrimination. Some tasks require oral communication ability.
