Description:
• Startup, test and fine-tune industrial control systems at client sites, primarily for refrigeration systems. • Troubleshoot mechanical, network, control and electrical problems • Survey existing industrial plants and related control systems • Manage field installation projects including schedules and subcontractors. Required Capabilities • Mechanical or electrical engineering degree • PLC programming experience with Allen Bradley, GE or Opto22 • Thorough understanding of electrical and mechanical (fluid) system fundamentals • Understanding of safe work practice with electrical circuits and industrial environments • Experience with control circuits, PLCs (especially Allen-Bradley), variable speed drives, sensors, meters and calibration methods • Ability to identify and terminate field power and controls wiring • Ability to read and understand ladder diagrams and schematics • Ability to analyze, document, modify and maintain complex control systems • Intermediate or better PC hardware and software skills • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, programmers, staff engineers, and plant operators • Ability to work independently or as part of a team • Proficiency in written and spoken English • Driving record that will result in insurability
