Vale Group has partnered with a company in the consumer goods industry, based in the Dallas, TX area, who is actively searching for an experienced Assistant Controller to work onsite for an opportunity paying $90k-$110k annually based on experience.
This pivotal role involves overseeing the accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and leading the development and maintenance of financial controls. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting practices and the ability to manage complex financial systems and teams.

Requirements of the Assistant Controller:
• 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate or public accounting
• Bachelors or Masters in Accounting - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
• Required: SEC reporting and experience drafting financial statements (10-K and 10-Q filings)
• Strong communication skills, proficiency in English, and ability to manage diverse teams. Spanish language a plus.
• Experience in a multi-currency, multi-entity financial environment
• Proficient with JD Edwards ERP systems; familiarity with Workiva Wdesk is a plus
Responsibilities of the Assistant Controller:
• Lead and optimize accounting operations including the production of financial reports and maintenance of records
• Manage monthly financial close processes, and oversee regulatory reporting and SOX compliance audits
• Direct internal staff and coordinate with international finance departments to consolidate financials
• Support as needed
