This job opportunity is for services to be performed under a contract with the federal government Office of Refugee Resettlement.

The role of the Clinician (Bilingual English/Spanish) is to provide behavioral health services, as well as monitor and document clients' mental well-being and overall adjustment to the program. The Clinician's functions are performed as part of a multi-disciplinary team and include development and implementation of client service plans, crisis intervention, and reunification planning.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct intakes upon admission, clinical assessments, and crisis interventions
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members and clients to develop service plans
  • Provide one-to-one counseling sessions weekly
  • Conduct group counseling sessions weekly
  • Continually monitor the mental well-being of clients and arrange for appropriate services as needed
  • Provide consultation and documentation regarding clients' functioning, mental health status, and treatment needs
  • Provide clinical services within licensing and funding source guidelines
  • Conduct clinical assessments
  • Conduct and document client assessments in accordance with ORR policies and procedures
  • Report significant incidents within accordance with ORR policies and procedures
  • Works closely with case manager and care coordinators to ensure proper communication
  • Attend all required training
  • Attend all departmental and program meetings to ensure that up-to-date information is received and/or information about policy changes or practices are adhered to
  • Must assist in the evacuation of clients as needed
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free work area
  • Always ensure supervision of clients
  • Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office products
  • Ability to utilize evidence-based practice
  • Encompass cases holistically to create individualized service plans and related techniques and interventions
  • Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English and Spanish
  • Ability to work flexible hours in a 24/7/365 business environment
Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree in social work with clinical experience in the program or master's degree in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science
  • Willing to accept a bachelor's degree plus 5 years clinical experience in lieu of a master's degree
  • One year of postgraduate direct service delivery experience, preferred
  • Licensed or license eligible in respective field (to include but not limited to LPC, LMSW, LMFT)
  • At least 6 months of ORR experience, preferred
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish, desired
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
  • Must pass a motor vehicle record check and employer and government (eQIP or eAPP) background checks after accepting a conditional offer of employment
Preferred pre-hire qualifications with monetary incentive:
  • Fully vetted background status (investigation and adjudication) through federal government eQIP or eAPP process, to include:
    • Valid ORR Tier Two adjudication;
    • Childcare adjudication; AND
    • Child Abuse and Neglect (CA/N) check clearance

Bonus available for immediate satisfaction of vetting qualification upon hire, subject to verification and payout after 30 continuous days of service
