About the Role:

The Senior Director of IT for the Ambulatory Surgery Service Line is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and maintenance of information technology systems and solutions within the business line. This role entails coordinating between various departments and vendors to ensure the efficient and secure use of technology to support the ambulatory surgery sites, surgeons who work at those sites and patient care.
• In coordination with CIO and CASSO, develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with the goals and objectives of the growing ambulatory surgery business.
• Lead and work collaboratively with team to design, develop, test and implement solutions that meet our business requirements.
• Provide strategic direction on IT and innovation to ASC leadership and through partnerships with the executive team and IT leaders while ensuring day to day technology needs are addressed in a timely manner.
• Stay current with services, features, and best practices and recommend improvement to our infrastructure and processes.
• Work with system IT department to ensure adherence to industry standard cybersecurity protocols and benchmarks.
• Manage application specialist dedicated to technologies within the network of surgery centers.
• Adhere to annual budget and manage the capital request activity for ASC network IT needs.
• Lead change management initiatives regarding technology opportunities within ASC Network.

About You:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in the Ambulatory Surgery or hospital surgery space.
• In depth knowledge of healthcare technology systems, such as EHR, practice management and more. Knowledge of SIS or surgery specific software is preferred.
• Ability to clearly articulate complex systems and system strategies with team members to build support and understanding of objectives.
• Highly proficient in contract negotiations and vendor management.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage high level projects and deliver results on time and on budget.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• This position requires extensive interaction with all Shields Health employees, joint venture partners, vendors, and local community and government agencies.
