Summary

The QTI Group is partnering with a member-based nonprofit organization to recruit for its first Director of Marketing and Public Relations. This 50+ year old organization continues to grow and will look to this Director to lead the development of digital social media and other promotional advertising. You will help to raise the organization up to digital age and work with staff throughout the organization to accomplish marketing goals.

Location: Our client's casual and fun office is located in Downtown Madison, Wisconsin. Some flexibility to work remotely 1-2 days per week.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development of marketing strategy including print, broadcast and digital advertising, social media and promotional materials.
  • Lead campaigns that include a national reach.
  • Plan and develop advertising to increase membership and overall awareness of the organization, including overseeing production and placement of print, billboards, digital and broadcast ads.
  • Ensure brand consistency in all marketing and advertising efforts.
  • Plan and direct social media and SEO strategies.
  • Develop digital campaigns to attract prospective members.
  • Manage a team of three, which includes a graphic designer, digital media coordinator, and multimedia producer.
  • Partner with the Director of Communications to coordinate marketing and communications efforts.
  • Evaluate the digital media distribution system and cultivate media contacts and coverage.
  • Write marketing press releases and periodically assist with writing and reviewing other press releases as needed, and other materials.
  • Direct or assist with needs assessments or constituency surveys and other research to guide marketing efforts.
  • Manage tracking systems/analytics to measure and evaluate effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Manage a large annual marketing / public relations budget.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years' experience and a proven track record of success in progressively more senior PR & marketing roles
  • Experience running national marketing campaigns is desired.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit and cause marketing is a plus
  • Experience in different social networking platforms, including Facebook, Instagram or TikTok.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Search Engine Optimization.
  • Skilled at copywriting.
  • Technology experience to include: Adobe Creative Suite, Google AdWords, Google Analytics, and WordPress. Familiarity with NeonCRM helpful
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in marketing or a related field.
