We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physiatrist to join our dynamic medical team. As a Physiatrist, you will have the opportunity to provide specialized care in an outpatient clinic setting while also participating in call coverage to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert medical care to patients in an outpatient clinic setting, focusing on comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation services.
  • Diagnose and manage a range of conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain, neurological disorders, and functional impairments.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that emphasize functional improvement, pain management, and quality of life for each patient.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of therapists, nurses, and other medical professionals to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Engage in shared coverage call to provide continuous patient care and address urgent medical needs.
  • Opportunity for inpatient coverage may be available, depending on the candidate's interests and expertise.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records, documenting patient progress and treatment outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry).
  • Board certification or eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is required.
  • Fellowship training and relevant years of experience in Physiatry is desirable but flexible.
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license in Vermont.
  • Strong clinical acumen and diagnostic skills for various musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care, functional improvement, and pain management.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team-based care model and provide call coverage.
