Overview:
We seek a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as a Business Operations Assistant. This role encompasses various responsibilities including estimating, sales, and marketing tasks among others. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Estimating:
· Attend pre-bid meetings
· Analyze project requirements and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
· Complete pre-bid forms and prequalification questionnaires.
· Collaborate with internal/external teams to gather necessary information for estimation.
· Utilize estimation software and/or Excel tools to generate precise cost projections.
· Present estimates clearly and professionally during the established datelines.
· Prepare bid proposals.
Sales:
· Engage with prospective clients to understand their needs and recommend suitable solutions.
· Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals.
· Negotiate pricing and contract terms to close deals.
· Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to foster repeat business.
· Assist with developing sales strategies to meet revenue targets.
Marketing:
· Support the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
· Track the performance of the marketing campaigns for effectiveness.
· Assist in creating marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, and advertisements.
· Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
· Manage ACE Store's relationship and maintain stock of brochures, business cards, and other PPC materials.
· Manage social media accounts and engage with followers to enhance brand visibility.
· Coordinate promotional events and activities.
Other:
· Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, including training and mentoring.
· Review projects paperwork to ensure completeness.
· Listen to sales calls (inbound/outbound) and provide feedback based on company guidelines
· Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, accounting, or equivalent experience.
· Proven experience in estimating preferably in the construction industry
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Proficiency using estimation software (PlanSwift, STACK or Buildxact)
· Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project)
· Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
· Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
· Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
· Adaptability to evolving business needs and priorities.
· Proficiency in English. Spanish is preferred but not required as it will enhance communication with our diverse clientele and subcontractors.
· Experience working in a multicultural environment.
· Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
· Certification in sales or estimation techniques is preferred but not required.
