Description

StarCare Specialty Health System is seeking qualified, compassionate Adult Mental Health Intensive Case Managers to join the Adult Mental Health Outpatient Team

Work is performed under the supervision of the Director of Adult Mental Health Services with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Adult Mental Health Intensive Case Managers Responsibilities:
  • Providing hands-on, in vivo skills training, symptom management, support, medication monitoring, and crisis intervention;
  • Addressing substance use, criminal justices, money management, employment issues, and living arrangements;
  • Communicating pertinent clinical information;
  • Providing face-to-face contact with clients and their support systems;
  • Evaluating, monitoring, linking and coordinating services for clients on assigned caseload;
  • Ensuring clients are aware of resources necessary to reach personal outcomes;
  • Ensuring agency resources are utilized appropriately; and
  • Completing and submitting required reports and related documentation.
  • This position ensures the all activities support the vision, mission and values of StarCare Specialty Health System.
Clinical supervision is provided by the Mental Health Division's Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts (LPHA).

HOURS: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to meet customer & program needs.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with major course work in a human services field (Human Development /Family Studies, Psychology, Sociology, etc.).
  • Two (2) years full-time experience in a related field, preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge and skill in operating standard office equipment (phone, fax, copier, printer) and use of Microsoft Office products is required.
  • Local travel using personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement is required.
  • Work laptop and cell phone will be issued.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must pass a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Must have a Texas driver's license and be insurable under the Agency's insurance.
