Position Description:

Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.

Major/Essential Functions:

The Program Manager is expected to be an ethical team member who has knowledge of Texas Tech University's policies and procedures and who strives for professional effectiveness by

continually participating in professional development and educational activities to renew foundational

understandings, improve skills, and acquire new knowledge.

  • Provide support to the Office for Student Civil Rights & Sexual Misconduct by assisting and monitoring the processing of cases for compliance with applicable laws.

  • Conduct Title IX related intake interviews to determine appropriate level of intervention/response and investigative protocol.

  • Coordinate initial provision of resources and support services for individuals with campus partners including the Office of Dean of Students and University Student Housing.

  • Assist and support the investigative team in managing and monitoring the processing of cases in a timely manner. Attend all Title IX case management meetings and follow up on any actions steps.

  • Maintain Maxient database, manage technology needs as a level 4 user, run reports, conduct file audits and trains new staff/users.

  • Works closes with the Deputy Title IX Coordinator on coordinating any immediate response necessary for investigators (i.e schedule meeting w/key partners, gather information to determine presentation of interim steps, and follow up with any response actions).

  • In partnership with the Title IX Coordinator, Deputy Coordinator and other partners, provide outreach education upon request regarding the Title IX process and procedures (primary audience faculty/staff).

  • Participates in various committees as a representative for the Office for Student Civil Rights & Sexual Misconduct.

  • Case Manage students on a daily basis and/or as necessary, including identification of appropriate resources, record keeping, follow up and assessment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

M-F 8-5 and as needed for emergency response.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in education/student affairs/counseling/social work preferred. Experience in higher education environment; experience with administrative responsibilities. Versed in legal issues and concerns relating to Title IX, VAWA, and FERPA. Strong written and oral

communication skills.
