POSITION: Child Welfare Case Aide - Life Skills DUTIES: Perform tasks relating to varied aspects of establishing and enforcing child support collections, including location, paternity establishment, collection methods, establishing and enforcing legal orders. Knowledge of child support laws, rules and regulations. Knowledge of court procedures, documents, legal terminology, methods of enforcement. Knowledge of eligibility criteria and ADC rules and regulations. Knowledge of collections methods. Skills in interviewing, obtaining sensitive information. Ability to gather documentation, determine best methods to use in working case, and enforcing child support orders. Ability to analyze information, prioritize, plan and organize workload and meet deadlines. Ability to prepare correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate with client, legal systems and the public. Ability to work with hostile or distraught client REQUIREMENTS: Level III: Education and or Experience: Graduation from high school or GED equivalency. Minimum of one-year experience at Level II Child Support Specialis OTHER REQUIREMENTS: A valid Colorado driver's license, vehicle in safe operating condition, and liability insurance must be on file at all times. Must be able to pass a nationwide background check. WAGE: $22.07/ Hourly SHIFTS: Full-time, 40 hours per week. JOB SITE: Canon City, CO BENEFITS: Extensive benefits package.
