Hiring a Medical Scheduler in Mount Kisco, NYJob Description The Radiology Scheduler is responsible for scheduling exams, providing service to the customer, and supporting the department to effectively and efficiently maximize schedules. Responsibilities Answer phones and guide patients by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns. Schedule radiology procedures in an organized and efficient manner. Input and update patient information in our medical system. Communicate with physicians, medical offices, patients, families, and insurance companies. Perform insurance verifications and authorizations. Participate in various projects and/or meetings and complete other tasks as assigned by management. Operate computers, fax machines, and other related office equipment. Communicate scheduling issues with management. Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and radiology procedures and requirements. Be detail-oriented and follow through with information or the need for information. Compile and maintain all patient charts and any other documentation as required by the department. Cross-train and assist in other departments as needed. Essential Skills Customer service experience Healthcare experience Experience with EMR Ability to schedule appointments Experience handling multi-line phone systems Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma 2+ years of healthcare experience Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
