This is a Full Time position (80 hours per pay period) with a Monday - Friday schedule primarily from 7AM - 4:30PM (with flexibility required depending on scheduled meetings and surveyor visits), located at our Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla. Join a winning team supporting the Performance Improvement/Risk Management department at our Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla as an Administrative Coordinator. In this important role, your primary responsibilities will be organizing schedules, filing, updating, or creating spreadsheets, survey readiness, committee prep work, and command center support. The ideal candidate will have medical office experience, advanced problem-solving skills, and a pleasant and professional demeanor.

Other general Administrative Coordinator duties may include:
  • Providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations.
  • Performing clerical, administrative, and general office duties involving typing, record and file maintenance, document creation, mail distribution and reception.
  • Having in-depth knowledge of the unit's operations, organization, and procedures.
  • Maintaining office files and records in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Receiving and referring visitors and telephone callers.
  • Responding to requests for information.
  • Opening and distributing mail.
  • Providing a full range of administrative data management and coordination of reporting and project duties for the department.
  • Analysis and maintenance of systems and equipment.
  • Maintaining appointment calendars.


Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office.
  • Adaptable and able to handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent critical thinking and project coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • College courses in business, medical terminology preferred
  • One year of experience in customer service, administrative or support role.
