About the job National Sales Executive - Retail Grocery
Our client's company specializes in providing a wide range of frozen seafood, shellfish, seafood meals, sauces, and marinades to the market. Currently, they are seeking a National Sales Executive to focus on selling frozen foods to retail grocery stores.
This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in sales within the frozen food industry, particularly targeting the retail grocery sector.
[Responsibilities]
- Develop and maintain relationships with retail grocery businesses, specifically focusing on frozen foods segment.
- Drive sales by introducing new products such as Dumplings, Seafood Pastas, Sauces, and Asian Cuisine to national and local/regional grocery stores.
- Target national club stores and large retail grocery chains like Costco, Winco, Sam's Club, PCC, Whole Foods, Albertson's, Safeway, etc.
- Proactively seek new business opportunities as this role involves hunting for new accounts rather than inheriting existing ones.
- Utilize merchandisers and leverage relationships with major grocery chains and distribution companies to increase product visibility.
- Implement a strategic approach to secure retailer acceptance, introduce new products, and expand the product range within accounts.
- Proven experience as a Frozen Food Sales Representative with a strong network and successful track record of selling to retail grocery stores.
- Preference for candidates with expertise in Asian Cuisine, Gourmet Frozen Foods, Dumplings, Pastas, or frozen meats and seafood.
- Experience in sales to retail grocery is essential; candidates with backgrounds in restaurant sales, broker sales, or seafood wholesalers will not be considered.
- Must possess a proactive and results-driven approach, demonstrating the ability to hunt for new business opportunities effectively.
