Job Description

ASRC Federal System Solutions supports the Federal Aviation Administration National Airspace System Engineering Support Services FAA NAS ESS contract. Join our growing team as an Administrative Specialist in support of the Weather Systems group at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC).

Responsibilities:

  • Attending meetings concerning standardization of organizational policies and procedures
  • Providing telephone support in order to properly direct calls, and providing written/oral explanation of administrative policies.
  • Assisting with the coordination of new office policies and systems.
  • Assisting with the acquisition of office supplies and equipment required for program and administrative support.
  • Maintaining administrative and technical files, word processing, preparing correspondence.
  • Keeping data up to date in multiple systems such as DMS, PRISM, etc.
  • The Administrative Specialist will need to review travel vouchers, generate reports, track expenses, and serve as team training coordinator.
  • Follow up with employees to make sure training is completed on time.
  • Prepare presentations, schedule meetings, and monitor e-mail and calendars for FAA managers.
  • Call in facility trouble calls and track facility management issues.
  • Distribute mail, provide property management assistance by serving as property delegates to FAA team managers, perform quality review and input of time and attendance records into CASTLE, ensure leave/overtime records are attached.
  • Enter and review travel arrangements in E2, perform as a PRISM purchase card requisitioner and/or reviewer, and take meeting minutes.
  • Review/modify technical documents.
Requirements

US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. All applicants must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years.
  • The duties require knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and requirements, various office skills, and the ability to apply such skills in a way that increases the effectiveness of others.
  • The Administrative Specialist performs a combination of routine, multiple, and varying assignments in support of the NASE group or other organizational unit under the limited direction of a Technical Manager, or more experienced employee.
  • Assist others in day-to-day operations.
Education/Experience:
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Must have excellent oral and written communications skills and possess good organizational and interpersonal skills.
