Who you are:
We are currently reviewing resumes from motivated, trustworthy, industrious, and team-oriented individuals who want to join our team of experienced and well-trained veterinary health care professionals.
- High school diploma
- 3+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry or 1 years as a licensed RVT- highly preferred
- Prior veterinary experience required
- Previous emergency experience desired
- Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
- Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriate
- Consistent and reliable ability to perform and accurately complete client invoices and estimates, CRI calculations, and all drug dosages and conversions
- Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)
- Triaging
- Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases and gather additional information as necessary
- Evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessment
- Partner with patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication and nursing care concerns
- Provide client education including, but not limited to: home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions) and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients
- Assist DVM with patient assessment, treatment and procedures
- Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients
- Induce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation procedures
- Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
- Monitoring hospitalized patients, treatments and nursing care
- Venipuncture/IVC placement, cystocentesis, urinary catheter placement and NG tube placement.
- Blood transfusion therapy including collection, administration, and transfusion reactions
Work Schedule:
- Full-Time, Swing Shift Offers $3 Pay Differential
- 4/10 Schedule
- Some weekend and holiday availability required
- RVT: $25.00 - $40.00 hour
- SVA: $25.00 - $36.00
- Up to $5,000 hiring bonus for new, full-time employees

Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
