The team comes from diverse technical backgrounds, and the responsibilities provide the opportunity for a variety of challenges.\u202F Ideal candidates will have a background in either software engineering or systems engineering with a desire to learn the other or previous experience as a Platform SRE.\u202F We are looking for a Systems Thinking, SRE Engineer who has helped teams scale through production insights, operational automation, developer guidance, real-time metrics, automation, automation, automation.\u00A0

You will work in partnership with the Cloud Provider Enablement Platform team and other SRE teams across enterprise. You will work with development teams across Fidelity to understand their usage and need of Cloud services and drive reliable and intelligent adoption and ongoing usage of Cloud.

  • Creating scalable solutions and automation to monitor the health and establish signals to drive understanding of our Container Platform environments.\u00A0

  • Strengthening operational processes with Fidelity support and incident management teams for our cloud ecosystem\u00A0

  • Interfacing with Fidelity and cloud service provider product teams and driving ongoing reliability improvements in their Kubernetes service offerings.\u00A0

  • Anticipating, discovering through ongoing interaction with, and prioritizing client / partner needs to serve as their voice and guide execution of the team.\u00A0

The Expertise You Have\u00A0and The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required.

  • Production experience running Kubernetes workloads EKS/AKS/RKS(Rancher)\u00A0

  • Experience managing and maintaining Kubernetes Clusters on EKS/AKS and RKS.\u00A0

  • Experience creating and deploying Helm charts & libraries\u00A0

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience deploying and/or supporting highly distributed multi-tiered systems at scale.\u00A0

  • 8+ years of experience in Cloud development (AWS/Azure) and migration skills\u00A0\u00A0

  • Experience building and deploying Docker images including Docker Compose\u00A0

  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins Core, including authoring and maintaining declarative CI/CD pipelines and libraries\u00A0

  • Proficiency with UNIX operating systems and shell scripting\u00A0

  • Programming experience, e.g., Python preferred\u00A0

  • Experience with distributed version control systems, Git preferred\u00A0

  • Experience crafting and maintaining logging, monitoring, and alerting capabilities using tools like Datadog and Splunk\u00A0

  • Practical experience in building cloud hosted and native applications for the enterprise. Maintains a deep understanding of a wide variety of AWS/Azure services that support reliability, observability, and automation/orchestration.\u00A0

  • Possess at least one cloud certification (AWS or Azure preferred).\u00A0

  • Experience in incident/crisis management and supporting mission critical applications.\u00A0

  • Hands on experience with one or more observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, OpenTelemetry, Datadog)\u00A0

  • Ability to automate with various scripting languages (Python, Shell scripting)\u00A0

  • Experience managing systems using infrastructure as code tools (IAM, ARM, Terraform, Chef)\u00A0

  • Solid understanding of Cloud Computing and DevOps concepts including CI/CD pipelines\u00A0
