Responsibilities

  • Sell and deliver a minimum number of vehicles every month
  • Exhibit a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Attend product and sales training courses and sales meetings as requested by manager
  • Keep up to date on new products and services within the industry
  • Approach, greet, and offer assistance or direction to any customer on the showroom or lot
  • Exhibit consultative selling skills – assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses
  • Explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospective customers
  • Describe all optional equipment available for customer purchase
  • Maintain a follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction
  • Maintain a prospect development system
  • Log all customer interactions in store’s CRM system
  • Turn 100% of closed deals to a finance and insurance manager, along with properly completed paperwork
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, and paperwork
  • Introduce customers to the service department personnel and emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the store’s service department
  • Schedule the first service appointment
  • Follow up on all post delivery items, tag/title work, “we-owes”, and special requests to be sure that all customer expectations are met
  • Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively
  • Support the store’s online reputation by facilitating customer reviews on different platforms (Google, Facebook, Yelp, Dealer Rater, etc.)
  • Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner
  • Maintain a positive attitude and be ready to work in a team environment every day
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • One year of automotive retail experience is preferred but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management, prioritization, attention to detail, organization, ability to multitask
  • Self-starter, ambitious, goal-oriented, can work independently and without supervision
  • Comfortable using multiple methods of communication – text, email, video, phone, etc.
  • Available to work flexible hours and weekends
  • Open to learning new software systems
  • Professional, well-groomed personal appearance
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
