Key Responsibilities- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, listening to their requirements to match their vehicle needs with our current inventory.
- Accompany customers on test drives, demonstrating vehicle features and technology, and describing optional equipment available for purchase.
- Build rapport with customers to establish a base of referrals and a customer network.
- Stay up-to-date on new products, features, and accessories, and their benefits to customers.
- Learn to overcome objections and thrive in sales situations.
- Work internet, phone, and personal leads to convert them into auto sales.
- Report directly to the Sales Manager regarding objectives and creative ideas, and introduce customers to the Sales Manager.
- Utilize dealership sales control and follow-up systems.
- Close deals and complete all paperwork.
- Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery, ensuring the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
- Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership's service department.
- Maintain a prospect development system and CSI score equal to corporate requirements.
- Minimum six months of customer-facing sales or customer service experience is preferred, but not mandatory. We will train the right candidates for the exciting field of auto sales.
- Outside sales experience is appreciated, but not required.
- Experience working with customers of all income levels.
- Attend product and sales training courses as requested by the Sales Manager.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Honesty, integrity, commitment, perseverance, and a will to succeed.
- Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local laws governing retail automobile sales.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Professional appearance.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Authorized to work in the USA.
- Pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, and drug screen.
