CRS Temporary Housing is a leader in our industry providing temporary housing solutions to individuals who are displaced from their home due to loss. Working with insurance companies and the policyholders, we provide a variety of solutions to make this difficult time easier.

Our office is located in North Central Phoenix, AZ. This position willmeet in the office in person periodically but may work remotely most of the time. Will have lots of interaction with internal contacts via phone, e-mail and in person, and communicating with external contacts occasionally.Computer and phone equipment will be provided. You must have reliable high-speed internet service and a suitable workspace at your residence.

Position Purpose: Developers will work on bringing modern solutions to a mature industry. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with designers. And work on challenging and impactful projects. There are continuous learning and development opportunities with a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and performant web applications using the PERN stack.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers to translate user stories and requirements into technical solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews and participate in pair programming sessions.
  • Implement unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the PERN stack.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex application issues.
  • Deploy and monitor applications in production environments.
  • Contribute to the overall technical health and direction of the codebase.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience building web applications with a focus on the PERN stack (Postgres, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js).
  • Strong understanding of web development principles and best practices (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Experience with building RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgresSQL preferred).
  • Experience with front-end development frameworks like React.js.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha) and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for learning and staying up to date with new technologies.
Bonus points:
  • Experience with GraphQL or other API querying languages.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Experience with DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
