Job Description

Danfoss BOCK is growing our team here in North America and we're looking for an experienced Product Specialist to join our sales team. The Technical Product Specialist position supports Danfoss Climate Solutions in North America, focusing on the BOCK Compressor product lines. It provides technical components and system expertise for overall product line support in selection and qualification. This position works with the Regional and Global Key Account Managers to develop and realize the overall sales and business development plans for the region.

This is a remote role, preferring someone in the Southeast area of the United States.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Technical advice and support for customers, sales, applications engineer, and FSE (Field Sales Engineer) to ensure the proper selection, application, and qualification for all BOCK products in NAM (North American Market)

* Support in the development of customer solutions in close coordination with the Product Management of other product lines, sales, quality, and product development departments

* Supporting Sales Driver and Sales Manager in technical discussions with customers

* Conducting, creating, and presenting product presentations, technical documentation, and support application, product software, and product data integration

* Communication of product news, updates and changings

* Participation in trade fairs, training and events

* Observation of the NAM market and competition analysis collection, product feedback, and creating benchmarks for input of product management specific to the North American market and customer requests. Input for product updates NDP and specific customer product configurations

* Frequent customer visits to improve overall visibility while assisting in any related technical, quality, or sales activity to support the overall business objective

* Ensure customers have all proper product selection tools/literature and assist in qualification testing with the customer as required

* Managing product line claims in alignment with application and field engineers, customers, and with departments in the PL

Background & Skills

A successful candidate should have the following:

* 8+ years' experience in refrigeration

* Technical bachelor's degree (BSME/BSDEE) OR further training as a technician OR have comparable training including initial professional experience.

* Practical experience in the field of refrigeration technology ideally with a focus on compressors

* Experiences in the field of application food retail and industrial refrigeration

* A good understanding of natural refrigerants, preferred

* Strong communication skills, open-mindedness, and team spirit

* Excellent challenge-solving properties

* Ability to communicate complex, technical content in an understandable way

* Willing and able to travel up to 30-40% nationally and internationally

* Good user knowledge in dealing with ERP (SAP), CRM (Salesforce), and MS Office programs.
