We are seeking a highly experienced Azure Cloud Architect to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be working under the guidance and supervision of the Cloud Manager and will have a proven track record of establishing practical enterprise architecture, with a focus on delivering actionable recommendations to business and IT leaders.
This role involves developing a comprehensive cloud architecture strategy, designing and implementing cloud solutions and ensuring the effective management and security of cloud resources.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a Reference Architecture encompassing all major functions of infrastructure, aligned with the organization's mission and vision.
- Design and develop a comprehensive cloud architecture strategy focusing on Microsoft Azure to support large-scale digital transformation.
- Lead the development and implementation of cloud policies, procedures and governance models for effective cloud resource management and security.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to establish robust cloud security frameworks that align with industry best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Guide the migration of existing applications and infrastructure to Azure, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Develop cost management strategies to optimize and control cloud expenses without compromising service delivery.
- Work closely with various departments and IT teams to ensure cloud solutions meet functional and technical requirements.
- Establish continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automation practices to enhance development processes and operational efficiency.
- Mentor and train team members and stakeholders on Azure cloud technologies and best practices.
- Stay abreast of new Azure features and other cloud innovations to keep the organization at the cutting edge of technology advancement.
- Minimum of 15 years in IT development/infrastructure, with at least 8 years as a Cloud Architect focused on Microsoft Azure.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud solutions.
- Deep understanding of Azure architecture, cloud security, governance and compliance frameworks.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in developing policies and procedures for large-scale organizations.
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar certifications are highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, analytical and project management skills.
