We are recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join a reputable company in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Analyze financial data and tax implications to develop tax planning strategies that minimize tax liabilities while maximizing financial outcomes for clients.
  • Research and interpret tax laws, regulations, and rulings to ensure compliance and provide guidance to clients and colleagues.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert tax advice and recommendations tailored to their specific financial situations and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including accounting and finance professionals, to coordinate tax-related activities and ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
  • Stay current on changes to tax laws and regulations, industry trends, and best practices to inform strategic decision-making and enhance service offerings.
  • Mentor and train junior staff members, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth and development.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on individual and corporate taxation.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, including federal, state, and local tax codes.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and financial accounting systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic tax planning recommendations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
